MVP: Brevin Knight
Runner Up: Emeka Okafor

• Okafor may have been the best player but Knight was undoubtedly the most valuable player. When Knight was not in the game the Bobcats looked lost.

Biggest Surprise: Primoz Brezec
Runner Up: Brevin Knight

• Brezec turned out to be much more than just a jumpshooting big man. He is more athletic than most expected and his rebounding and defense improved each month.

Biggest Disappointment: Tamar Slay
Runner Up: Jason Kapono
• Bernie Bickerstaff had high hopes for Slay who had ample opportunity in training camp and pre-season to prove his worth. Unfortunately, he spent all but 8 games planted on the bench.

Best GM Move: Trading up to get Okafor
Runner Up: Signing Brevin Knight

• The Bobcats secured their first franchise player by swapping draft spots with the Clippers last June. That trade put the Bobcats into position to draft either Okafor or Dwight Howard.

Worst GM Move (the beating a dead horse award): Passing on Juan Dixon in the Expansion Draft
Runner Up: Trading away several years’ worth of second round picks

• Passing on Juan Dixon is a move I still don’t understand. Dixon fit everything that the Bobcats should have been looking for in a player.

Biggest Win: Miami
Runner Up: Detroit (the first time)

• The Bobcats win against Miami, with Shaq, is equal to the Hornets beating Chicago during the Hornets first season. I think people are still stunned.
